Gods unchained review is something I was looking forward to writing, for I’m playing the game almost every day for a while now.

Gods Unchained is an exciting and unique trading card game that combines the best of both worlds: the strategy and skill of traditional card games with the innovation and collectibility of blockchain-based digital assets.
The concept of the game is very similar to Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering, but with a very important difference, Gods Unchained is an NFT game. And that makes all the difference to me.
In this article, I’ll take you through the basics of Gods Unchained and explain why it’s worth checking out for both gamers and crypto enthusiasts.

First off, let’s talk about what makes Gods Unchained special: its use of blockchain technology. Gods Unchained takes place in a world filled with magic and mythical creatures. Players can choose from a variety of different factions, each with its own unique style and playstyle.

The six factions in Gods Unchained are:

1. Light: The Light faction is focused on healing and protecting its units while dealing damage to the enemy. Light units tend to have high health and defensive abilities.
2. Death: The Death faction is focused on destroying the enemy’s units and dealing damage directly to the opponent. Death units tend to have high attack power and abilities that allow them to bypass enemy defenses.
3. Magic: The Magic faction is focused on manipulating the battlefield and controlling the enemy’s actions. Magic units tend to have spells and abilities that can disrupt the opponent’s strategy.
4. Nature: The Nature faction is focused on generating resources and using them to summon powerful units. Nature units tend to have abilities that allow them to generate extra mana or summon additional units.
5. War: The War faction is focused on aggressive tactics and overwhelming the enemy with brute force. War units tend to have high attack power and abilities that allow them to deal damage to multiple targets at once.
6. Deception: The Deception faction is focused on trickery and misdirection, using abilities that can confuse the opponent and disrupt their strategy. Deception units tend to have abilities that can manipulate the opponent’s hand or deck.

Each faction has its own unique cards, which can be combined in various ways to create different deck archetypes. The game also features legendary cards, which are rare and powerful cards that can greatly impact the outcome of a match.

One of the things I love about Gods Unchained is the depth and variety of its card pool. There are hundreds of different cards to collect and play with, each with its own unique art and flavor. You can choose to play a more aggressive deck with lots of creatures, or a more control-oriented deck with spells that disrupt your opponent’s game plan. No matter what your playstyle is, there’s a deck and a strategy that’s right for you.

How to Play Gods Unchained

So, what do you need to get started with Gods Unchained? First, you’ll need to create an account and download the game client. This is a quick and simple process that you can do on the Gods Unchained website. Once you have the game installed, you’ll be able to start playing right away.

Gods Unchained is a turn-based game that is played between two players. Each player starts the game with a deck of cards, which they use to take turns playing cards, attacking their opponent, and casting spells. The goal of the game is to reduce your opponent’s life total to zero.

With each turn, players draw a card from their deck and can play up to five cards from their hands. They can also use their mana crystals to cast spells and play cards from their hand. The amount of mana crystals a player has increases each turn, allowing them to play more and more powerful cards as the game progresses.

Players can also play cards that have special abilities, such as healing their creatures, drawing extra cards, or dealing damage to their opponent’s creatures. Some cards also have abilities that trigger when certain conditions are met, such as when a creature is destroyed or when a player plays a specific card.

One of the key strategies in Gods Unchained is to build a strong board of creatures and protect them with spells and weapons. Players must also consider their opponent’s moves and react accordingly. The game is won by reducing your opponent’s life total to zero, but players must also balance their attacks with protecting their own creatures and life total.

Another great aspect of Gods Unchained is its tournament scene. Whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore competitor, there’s something for everyone. Regular in-game events offer players the chance to win cards and other prizes, while more serious tournaments offer huge payouts to the top players. This will give you a taste of what Gods Unchained has to offer and help you learn the basics of the game. From there, you can start buying and trading cards to build your own custom deck. There are plenty of players and websites that offer cards for sale, so you’ll never have trouble finding what you need.

Why I Love Gods Unchained

I have been playing Gods Unchained for over a year now and I can say with certainty that it is one of the most fun and challenging games I have ever played. The game has a unique blend of strategy, luck, and skill that makes each match feel fresh and exciting.

One of the things I love most about Gods Unchained is its use of NFTs. NFTs allow players to truly own their cards, which adds a level of attachment to the game that is not possible in traditional collectible card games. I have several legendary cards in my collection that I am proud to own (some more than the others) and I love showing/using them.

Furthermore, by playing the game you accrue the GODS token (that’s the Immutable X token you can exchange for cards). The first 10 games each day are scored, with the first 3 getting the most points.
Ideal scenario – play 10 games per day, try to win the most you can, and you’ll get some amount of GODS token, which you can later exchange for more cards.
And then there are weekend events. The weekend events start on Friday and last until Monday (EU time), in it you are rewarded for the first 18 games you play. The more wins you have, and in the higher leagues you are playing, the more rewards you will get. And the rewards are card packs.
Currently, the most valuable ones are MJ rare, and MJ epics.

You can buy/sell your cards on the Immutable X marketplace, you should know which ones you’d like to get, and you’ll need enough GODS or ETH to acquire them.

Another excellent tool for the game is the Gudecks website, in it, you can easily track yourself or other players. And it makes copying their decks very easy by copying the code, and later importing it into the game itself (provided you have their cards).

Here are a few codes, for the decks I’ve created and love playing with. You are free to use them, mind that all of them are under $20 in value, so you should get them fairly easily if you’d like to invest a little bit in the game.
And if not, stick with the free cards. Just replace the ones you don’t have with the ones you do.
