Gods Unchained Review: An Exciting NFT Game

Gods unchained NFT game

Gods unchained review is something I was looking forward to writing, for I’m playing the game almost every day for a while now.

Gods Unchained is an exciting and unique trading card game that combines the best of both worlds: the strategy and skill of traditional card games with the innovation and collectibility of blockchain-based digital assets.
The concept of the game is very similar to Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering, but with a very important difference, Gods Unchained is an NFT game. And that makes all the difference to me.
In this article, I’ll take you through the basics of Gods Unchained and explain why it’s worth checking out for both gamers and crypto enthusiasts.

First off, let’s talk about what makes Gods Unchained special: its use of blockchain technology. Unlike traditional card games, where cards are just pieces of cardboard or pixels on a screen, the cards in Gods Unchained are actual digital assets that you own and can trade with others. This is made possible by the use of the Immutable X blockchain, which provides a secure and transparent ledger for these assets. This means that you can be confident that the cards you own are truly unique and will never be duplicated or taken away from you.

But what about the actual game? Gods Unchained is a fast-paced and strategic card game that’s easy to learn but difficult to master. You play as a god and lead a team of champions, creatures, and spells into battle against other players. Each card has unique abilities and strengths that you can use to outmaneuver your opponent and gain the upper hand. You’ll need to carefully choose your cards and build a deck that works well together if you want to come out on top.

The World of Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained takes place in a world filled with magic and mythical creatures. Players can choose from a variety of different factions, each with its own unique style and playstyle.

The six factions in Gods Unchained are:

Light, GU faction

Death, GU faction

Magic, Gods unchained faction

Nature, Gods unchained faction
Nature
War, Gods unchained faction
War
Deception, Gods unchained faction
Deception
  1. Light: The Light faction is focused on healing and protecting its units while dealing damage to the enemy. Light units tend to have high health and defensive abilities.
  2. Death: The Death faction is focused on destroying the enemy’s units and dealing damage directly to the opponent. Death units tend to have high attack power and abilities that allow them to bypass enemy defenses.
  3. Magic: The Magic faction is focused on manipulating the battlefield and controlling the enemy’s actions. Magic units tend to have spells and abilities that can disrupt the opponent’s strategy.
  4. Nature: The Nature faction is focused on generating resources and using them to summon powerful units. Nature units tend to have abilities that allow them to generate extra mana or summon additional units.
  5. War: The War faction is focused on aggressive tactics and overwhelming the enemy with brute force. War units tend to have high attack power and abilities that allow them to deal damage to multiple targets at once.
  6. Deception: The Deception faction is focused on trickery and misdirection, using abilities that can confuse the opponent and disrupt their strategy. Deception units tend to have abilities that can manipulate the opponent’s hand or deck.

Each faction has its own unique cards, which can be combined in various ways to create different deck archetypes. The game also features legendary cards, which are rare and powerful cards that can greatly impact the outcome of a match.

One of the things I love about Gods Unchained is the depth and variety of its card pool. There are hundreds of different cards to collect and play with, each with its own unique art and flavor. You can choose to play a more aggressive deck with lots of creatures, or a more control-oriented deck with spells that disrupt your opponent’s game plan. No matter what your playstyle is, there’s a deck and a strategy that’s right for you.

How to Play Gods Unchained

So, what do you need to get started with Gods Unchained? First, you’ll need to create an account and download the game client. This is a quick and simple process that you can do on the Gods Unchained website. Once you have the game installed, you’ll be able to start playing right away.

Gods Unchained is a turn-based game that is played between two players. Each player starts the game with a deck of cards, which they use to take turns playing cards, attacking their opponent, and casting spells. The goal of the game is to reduce your opponent’s life total to zero.

With each turn, players draw a card from their deck and can play up to five cards from their hands. They can also use their mana crystals to cast spells and play cards from their hand. The amount of mana crystals a player has increases each turn, allowing them to play more and more powerful cards as the game progresses.

Players can also play cards that have special abilities, such as healing their creatures, drawing extra cards, or dealing damage to their opponent’s creatures. Some cards also have abilities that trigger when certain conditions are met, such as when a creature is destroyed or when a player plays a specific card.

There is a post on building the deck on Gods Unchained blog.

One of the key strategies in Gods Unchained is to build a strong board of creatures and protect them with spells and weapons. Players must also consider their opponent’s moves and react accordingly. The game is won by reducing your opponent’s life total to zero, but players must also balance their attacks with protecting their own creatures and life total.

Another great aspect of Gods Unchained is its tournament scene. Whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore competitor, there’s something for everyone. Regular in-game events offer players the chance to win cards and other prizes, while more serious tournaments offer huge payouts to the top players. This creates a lively and competitive community that’s always eager to try out new strategies and push the limits of what’s possible.

If you’re new to the game, I recommend starting with a beginner’s deck that’s included for free with your account. This will give you a taste of what Gods Unchained has to offer and help you learn the basics of the game. From there, you can start buying and trading cards to build your own custom deck. There are plenty of players and websites that offer cards for sale, so you’ll never have trouble finding what you need.

Why I Love Gods Unchained

I have been playing Gods Unchained for over a year now and I can say with certainty that it is one of the most fun and challenging games I have ever played. The game has a unique blend of strategy, luck, and skill that makes each match feel fresh and exciting.

One of the things I love most about Gods Unchained is its use of NFTs. NFTs allow players to truly own their cards, which adds a level of attachment to the game that is not possible in traditional collectible card games. I have several legendary cards in my collection that I am proud to own (some more than the others) and I love showing/using them.

Furthermore, by playing the game you accrue the GODS token (that’s the Immutable X token you can exchange for cards). The first 10 games each day are scored, with the first 3 getting the most points.
Ideal scenario – play 10 games per day, try to win the most you can, and you’ll get some amount of GODS token, which you can later exchange for more cards.
And then there are weekend events. The weekend events start on Friday and last until Monday (EU time), in it you are rewarded for the first 18 games you play. The more wins you have, and in the higher leagues you are playing, the more rewards you will get. And the rewards are card packs.
Currently, the most valuable ones are MJ rare, and MJ epics.

You can buy/sell your cards on the Immutable X marketplace, you should know which ones you’d like to get, and you’ll need enough GODS or ETH to acquire them.

Another excellent tool for the game is the Gudecks website, in it, you can easily track yourself or other players. And it makes copying their decks very easy by copying the code, and later importing it into the game itself (provided you have their cards).

Gods Unchained – my codes

Here are a few codes, for the decks I’ve created and love playing with. You are free to use them, mind that all of them are under $20 in value, so you should get them fairly easily if you’d like to invest a little bit in the game.
And if not, stick with the free cards. Just replace the ones you don’t have with the ones you do.

The Gods Unchained codes:

Those brought a lot of fun games to me, hopefully, they will to you as well. You can easily import them into the game- Workshop, and adjust them as you like.
You can insert the codes through your Workshop, within the game.

Can you make money on Gods Unchained?

While the primary objective of playing Gods Unchained is to have fun and enjoy the game, it’s possible to make money on the platform through various ways.

Here are some ways to make money on Gods Unchained:

  1. Buy and sell cards: The value of Gods Unchained cards can fluctuate based on their rarity, demand, and other factors. Players can purchase valuable cards and hold onto them until their value increases, then sell them for a profit. Some players also specialize in trading and buying low and selling high, just like a stock market.
  2. Play and earn: Gods Unchained offers in-game rewards to players who compete in various tournaments and events. These rewards can include rare cards and other valuable prizes that can be sold for money.
With a low-worth deck, I’m pulling about 0.5-1.5 $GODS each day, as the current price of the token at $0.25, so you won’t get rich with it, but it’s a solid incentive and a very fun way of earning.
  3. Earn through referral programs: Gods Unchained has a referral program that rewards players for bringing in new users to the platform. Players can earn a percentage of the revenue generated by their referred players, which can add up over time.
  4. Participate in staking: Staking is a process by which players can earn a passive income by holding their Gods Unchained cards in a digital wallet. The staking process helps secure the blockchain network, and players earn a small percentage of the transaction fees generated by the platform.

Overall, making money on Gods Unchained requires patience, skill, and a willingness to learn about the platform and its market. It’s essential to understand the value of different cards and keep track of market trends to make informed decisions. While it may not be a guaranteed way to make money, it’s an exciting and fun way to potentially earn some extra income while enjoying a unique gaming experience.

Conclusion

So, to conclude this Gods unchained review, why should you check out this NFT game? If you’re a fan of card games, you’ll love the depth and variety of its card pool and strategic gameplay. If you’re a fan of blockchain technology, you’ll love the fact that you actually own the cards you collect and can trade them with others. And if you’re a fan of gaming in general, you’ll love the vibrant tournament scene and the fun and friendly community of players. The fact that you can earn consistently while playing does not hurt.

In conclusion, Gods Unchained is a must-try for anyone who loves card games, blockchain technology, or just gaming in general. With its innovative approach, the team managed to create a beautiful NFT game.
Of course, it’s not all roses, I have to mention that this game can have a very addictive pull on players, which I can vouch for firsthand. And it can get very frustrating when your cards line up awkwardly, or when your enemy has much, much, more valuable cards/deck.
This is somewhat diverted with multiple leagues, but on many occasions, I’ve encountered $1500+ worth of decks, with my $5 – $30 decks. I can tell that I lost most of them, not in a good way. But on the other side, when you manage to win against such an opponent it does feel pretty damn good.
If only those rare wins are rewarded a bit more…

Immutable X

Immutable X is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that runs on the Ethereum blockchain. It aims to provide a secure and user-friendly platform for buying, selling, and trading digital assets. One of the key features of Immutable X is that it operates on a zero-knowledge-proof mechanism, which means that all transactions on the platform are completely private and anonymous.

So, the Immutable X platform was created in response to the growing need for a secure and reliable way to trade digital assets. With traditional centralized exchanges, there is always the risk of hacks and theft due to the central point of control. Decentralized exchanges, on the other hand, offer a more secure solution because they do not rely on a central authority to manage the exchange of assets.

The zero-knowledge proof mechanism used by Immutable X ensures that all transactions on the platform are private and secure. This means that users can trade digital assets without revealing their identities or the details of their transactions. In addition, the platform operates on a fully decentralized network, which eliminates the need for a central authority to manage and control the exchange.

One of the key advantages of Immutable X is its scalability. Unlike other decentralized exchanges that struggle with slow and expensive transactions, Immutable X operates on a highly scalable network that can handle a large number of transactions in real-time. This makes it ideal for traders and investors who need to quickly and efficiently buy and sell digital assets.

Another advantage of Immutable X is its user-friendly interface. The platform is designed to be easy to use, even for those who are new to the world of digital assets. This makes it accessible to a wide range of users, from beginner investors to professional traders.

In addition to its scalability and user-friendly interface, Immutable X offers a number of other benefits. For example, the platform provides a high level of security for its users, as it operates on a decentralized network that is immune to hacks and theft. This makes it an ideal choice for those who are concerned about the safety of their assets.

Another benefit of Immutable X is its low fees. Unlike traditional centralized exchanges that charge high fees for each transaction, Immutable X operates on a low-fee model that makes it more affordable for users to buy, sell and trade digital assets. This is particularly attractive for those who trade frequently or for those who have a large volume of assets to manage.

Finally, Immutable X is also committed to providing a transparent and fair trading environment. The platform operates on a decentralized network, which eliminates the risk of market manipulation or unfair practices. Basically, this makes it an ideal choice for those who are looking for a secure and fair platform to trade digital assets.

In conclusion, Immutable X is a secure, scalable, and user-friendly decentralized exchange that is ideal for those who are looking for a reliable and safe way to trade digital assets. With its zero-knowledge proof mechanism, low fees, and commitment to providing a transparent and fair trading environment, Immutable X is poised to become one of the leading players in the digital asset exchange market.
