Illuvium: the triple-A NFT project review

Illuvium NFT Game review

If you’re into blockchain gaming, you must have heard about Illuvium. It’s a promising new NFT game that has been gaining popularity in the crypto community.
In this review, I’ll be giving you a rundown of what Illuvium is all about, how much it’s worth, whether it’s free to play, and when you can start playing it. So, buckle up, and let’s get started!

Illuvium Overview: What Is It?

Illuvium is a blockchain-based game that combines elements of RPGs and collectible card games. The game’s storyline takes place in a fantastical world filled with magical creatures called Illuvials.

Players collect and battle with these creatures, leveling them up and customizing their abilities.
Each Illuvial is a unique NFT, meaning that it cannot be replicated or copied. Players can buy, sell, and trade their Illuvials in a decentralized marketplace.

How Much Is Illuvium Worth?

As of this writing, the value of Illuvium’s native token, ILV, is around $66. ILV is used to purchase Illuvials and participate in the game’s ecosystem. The total market capitalization of ILV is around $156 million, making it a relatively small cryptocurrency. However, the value of ILV has increased significantly since the game’s launch, and many players see it as a promising investment opportunity.

The ILV token is also tradable on various cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Uniswap and KuCoin, allowing players to buy, sell, and trade the token as they see fit.
Illuvium’s public sale was conducted in two phases, with the first on August 4th, 2021, and the second on August 10th, 2021. The project offered a total of 10 million ILV tokens for sale, with each token priced at $0.25 USD. That’s a nice profit if you are to sell it now.
Furthermore, Illuvium sold over $72 million worth of NFT digital land plots.
During the public sale, Illuvium raised a total of $5.08 million USD, with the first phase of the sale selling out in just four minutes. The success of the public sale demonstrated strong investor interest in the project and its potential for growth in the NFT and crypto gaming industry.

It is worth noting that the public sale was just one of several funding rounds for Illuvium, and the total amount of investment raised by the project from all sources is not publicly disclosed. Nonetheless, the success of the public sale is a positive indicator of the project’s potential for success and growth in the future.

The price of an Illuvial NFT can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on its rarity, traits, and attributes.

Illuvium Gameplay: How Does It Work?

Illuvium is a complex game with many different gameplay mechanics. There’s the older – Arena, which suits my playstyle, and the Overlord mode. You can find more about them in the videos section.
For the Arena, we can state that the game’s battle system is unique, where players can battle other players or creatures. The battle system is turn-based, and players can use various abilities and strategies to defeat opponents. The game’s difficulty level increases as players progress, making it more challenging and rewarding.

Illuvium’s graphics and design are impressive, with detailed environments and creatures. The game’s sound effects and music add to the immersive experience expected of the triple-A project.

At its core, the game is about collecting and battling with Illuvials.
Each Illuvial has unique stats and abilities, which can be customized and upgraded. Players can form teams of up to five Illuvials and battle against other players in the game’s arena. Winning battles earns players rewards, such as ILV tokens and rare Illuvials.

Illuvials can be obtained through several different methods. Players can purchase them on the game’s marketplace using ILV tokens. They can also earn them by completing quests or participating in events. Additionally, players can earn passive income by staking their Illuvials in the game’s liquidity pool.

Is Illuvium Free to Play?

While Illuvium is technically free to play, there are several costs associated with the game. Players need to purchase ILV tokens to buy Illuvials and participate in the game’s economy. Additionally, some events and quests require players to spend ILV to participate.
However, players can earn ILV by winning battles, completing quests, and staking their Illuvials in the liquidity pool.
Overall, Illuvium is NOT FREE TO PLAY, but it’s relatively affordable compared to some other NFT games.

Here’s the official take on this question:

You begin our game with a free-to-play experience that immerses you in our richly-detailed world, lets you enjoy some action, and helps you understand how the game works. The free-to-play experience of the Tier 0 regions will familiarize you with Illuvium, and won’t feel like an “abridged” version of the game.

It is a full-fledged gameplay experience! If you like it, you can then decide to opt in to the paid experience, start collecting NFTs from higher tiered regions, and delve into deeper adventures to explore the mysteries of the game where the NFTs you gather start to hold more value as well.

When can I play Illuvium?

Currently, Illuvium is in Closed Beta testing. If you would like to sign up for a chance to access Closed Beta, please register at play.illuvium.io.
No firm date of release has been published at this moment.
The Illuvium team planned to release the game in phases. The first phase will allow players to explore the Illuvium world and battle other players in a PvP arena. Subsequent phases will introduce new gameplay mechanics, such as guilds and quests, and expand the game’s overall scope and depth.

Conclusion

Triple A projects in crypto are like unicorns, you heard about them, but you have never seen one live. Illuvium is very close to be live, and if you are a gamer or the investor you should be aware of it.

In conclusion, Illuvium is a promising NFT game that combines blockchain technology and gaming in a unique way. With its engaging gameplay, NFT collection system, staking rewards, and battle system, Illuvium offers a new and exciting experience for players.

The game’s native token, ILV, has also shown promising growth and value – showing no weakness during this NFT dip market, making it an excellent investment opportunity for crypto enthusiasts.
The graphics are impressive (maybe even better than in the Gods Unchained which I covered earlier), as you would expect from a triple A project worth millions. Design of the game is interesting enough, and although I prefer Arena mode more then the Overlord, others prefer the later.

Feel free to comment bellow, what is your opinion on this project, and which game mode suits you more?
